It has been nearly seven years since I moved to South Lake. I can vividly recall that I was relieved to see the end of the winter to welcome the summer warmth.

I saw a whole new rejuvenated Tahoe in the first summer. I was sure I don’t have any idea about how summer is going to be but I was clearly aimed at finding out any means of recreation in the snow free terrain.
After seven years I have found out that the change in climate amuses me the most in mountain living. I love skiing that I can fin myself dreaming about the thrill and freedom of skiing even in the height of summer. Summer is just very easy to live in.
You don’t have to wake up with snow in front of your door and there is no shoveling the driveway or digging out your cars, no chopping wood for fire.
This summer was late and the storms in June were menacing and too much to handle. So when the summer finally arrived it felt like a burden had been removed of me.
The satiated feeling of waking up in a warm cozy weather and sliding the door open to welcome in the sweet bird chirps and stream rushing is just invigorating and pleasant.
In the first Tahoe summer I found trials everywhere and no roads at all. Even at a dead end street begins a dirt path, calling out to you that an adventure awaits you.
Every time I find out some new path shows up leading to an unexplored area wanting to be found. The exploration does not cease to exist. Summer makes its presence like a sweet song.
The cycle of climatic changes often assures me that human progress has not separated us from the real world. In here we can look into nature and see its influence on our own lives and living.
