From the time Reggie Bush came into the college football team as a freshman in 2003, questions have been raised by experts of him being capable of being an every-down back. Reggie boldly answered yes to their questions. But he did not get a chance to prove it in the running back situation in California. He won the Heisman trophy in his junior years. Still the experts doubted his ability to become every-down back in NFL. Even then Reggie did not lose courage and said yes, he could. Orleans Saints drafted bush to be in the backfield with Deuce McAllister, when Houston Texas offered Bush the first pick of NFL draft. It was feared he will never get his chance to prove the doubts on him to be wrong. But McAllister was lost with torn ACL in Saints’ 31- 14 loss to Tenesse. The whole burden was left on Bush. Still many believe that he can never be every-down back. Gordon Wood, who was bush’s high school coach in the past said that he had confidence on Bush and the boy will surprise everyone one day. He is presently retired coach working as principle in William Collier Elementary in Wildomar, Calif. He said that Bush had not yet fully gone through the game. But once he gets through he will prove everyone wrong. Wood stated that everybody is blessed with a talent and Bush is undoubtedly a shining star. One day he will surely be an NFL player.
