The release of the Mount Rushmore pen from the iconic Cosmopolitan collection from the Italy’s most revered manufacturer of fine writing was made on June 13. It is one pen that has been resurrected from the company’s historic archives. Montegrappa will host the the Cosmopolitan which was a much-loved collection from the 1990′s at the Baselworld, the world’s largest and most important event in the watch and jewelry sector which is held annually in Basel, Switzerland for the first time ever.

The collection sparkles with a a sterling silver pen with resin accents and intricate details which form in bas relief to serve as the medium to communicate the spirit of five different cultures and to the surprise, the series will be offered as a special edition of 500 fountain pens, 500 roller ball pens, and 50 of each fashioned in Gold and will feature the following distinct offerings: Arabian Animals of Desert; Bohemian Paris; Victorian England; and China’s Ancient Gods.
The collection is inspired from the Mount Rushmore National Memorial which is a magnificent sculpture is carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore near Keystone, South Dakota. The marvelous monument was created by Gutzon Borglum, Mount Rushmore features 60-foot sculptures of the heads of former United States presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. The monument is a popular summer visit spot. Nearly two million visitors visit the Mount Rushmore every year.
