As President Mubarak announced that he would give his speech, around 100,000 demonstrators celebrated what they wished: the resignation of President Mubarak. Yet, instead of celebrated their dream comes true, these demonstrators got so furious and burst in tears. It was reported that more than 100,000 Egyptian protestors held biggest street party in the Cairo’s Tahrir Square as President Hosni Mubarak gave his speech that was broadcasted by national television.
Before this speech broadcasted, Al Jazeera and NBC gathered information from anonymous source that Mubarak would be declaring his resignation. Besides, by morning after the resignation declaration, this Egypt President would also be gone. And as scheduled, at about 10:45 pm local time, the overexcited crowd suddenly fell quiet, and tried to catch every single words uttered by Mubarak.
During the speech, the crowd of the demonstrators looked at one another, skeptically; some even started to cry and burst in tears. When President Mubarak stated the point of his speech, in which he insisted to carry on ruling the country and save it from recent chaos, all protestors scream out their disbelief and words as ‘Illegitimate’. In the other corner of the Tahrir’s Square, two enraged men even uncontrollable screamed and sobbed.
