People in Europe have tremendously welcomed the new proposal, which recorded fall in mobile roaming charges approved by EU telecoms ministers. Although, this legislation was opposed by 22 votes, but strong opposition with 646 votes has grabbed the crown. People, who are planning for outings, seem quite happy with this efficient effort of government. This will help them to save cents. However, it is a nasty shock for people those were already charged for using texting and internet while on roaming.
Reductions initiates’ business traffic:
The currently passed bill has reported the reduction of 11 Euro cents instead of 29 cents, which makes a difference for middle society masses as well as young ones. People are feeling out of exhausted bars of telephone/ mobile bills. Generally, everyone blames the EU Telecom department and hesitates to call abroad and pick up phones while on roaming. However, the Commissioner, Viviane Reding, has pleased the Europeans by passing this bill, which is aimed to prevent bill shock.
As of now, the tariff has soared 30-35% on calls after roaming charges has been decreased by 50-60%. This growth is going to draw healthy profit to The EU Government. All are excited about getting rid of the punishment of paying high bills while crossing boundaries.
Flexible prices:
The price cap of outgoing calls will go down from 46 to 43 Euro cents per minute, which is scheduled for July as mentioned by The EU Telecom Minister. The bills will be issued by excluding vat, which is covering data processing, browsing emails and texture.
The EU Government has put up a cap on phone charges and telecom companies will do compete by offering their tariffs below this limit, yet these firms can still earn good margins. Data roaming services including mailing and downloading data abroad are falling from 1.68 to 1 euro per megabyte with effect from 01 July as well. The cap on downfall is not fixed, but it is flexible.
